Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel which is highly resistant to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. This alloy contains 25% Chromium, 4% Molybdenum, and 7% Nickel. It has exceptional mechanical properties and is usually lighter when compared to regular stainless steels. It also has excellent uniform corrosion resistance to formic and acetic acid and is highly resistant to inorganic acids when they contain chlorides. The corrosion resistance is further enhanced by the addition of Chromium, Molybdenum and Nitrogen.
Usage of Duplex 2507 typically should not exceed temperatures of 600° F (316° C). Extended and recurring elevated temperatures can reduce the strength and corrosion resistance of the alloy. For a given desired design strength, 2507 material is usually a preferable choice as it allows for savings in weight which reduces the overall cost of fabrication. In conclusion, Duplex 2507 is highly recommended for use in applications that require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance.

While the tolerance requirements are stricter in Meilong Tube Standard, which provides an OD tolerance of ±0.004 inch (±0.10 mm) and a WT tolerance of ±10%.
Alloy UNS S32750 with O.D. of 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch and W.T. of 0.125 inch, 0.250 inch, 0.375 inch, 0.500 inch and 0.625 inch respectively has the working pressure of 19,177 psi, 11,986 psi, 8,009 psi, 8,408 psi and 6,719 psi, and the burst pressure of 47,169 psi, 29,481 psi, 25,138 psi, 25,532 psi and 23,918 psi respectively. In addition, the collapse pressure stands at 19,177 psi, 11,986 psi, 8,372 psi, 8,753 psi and 7,137 psi, and the test pressure stands at 21,025 psi, 13,050 psi, 8,700 psi, 9,425 psi, and 7,250 psi respectively.
